The National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine has put up for auction five radio frequency bands in the 87.5-108 MHz radio frequency range in four regional centers, reads a company report in the Holos Ukrainy newspaper published on Thursday.
In particular, the following radio frequency bands were put up for auction: 100.8 MHz in Zaporizhia, 107.2 MHz in Lviv, 105 MHz in Poltava, and 91.4 MHz and 100.6 MHz in Cherkasy.
The National Council also announced a tender for four free radio frequency bands in Kyiv, Odesa, Sumy and Chernihiv regions, as well as two VHF bands in Odesa and Rivne regions.
In addition, a tender was announced for broadcasting on the 21st regional TV channel in seven regions, in particular, 12 free TV channels were put up for auction in Lviv region. The most "expensive" (in terms of licensing duties) are TV channels in Odesa (from 0000 to 0800), Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka, Slaviansk, Selydove (all in Donetsk region) and Berdychiv (Zhytomyr region).
Bids to participate in the tender can be submitted from June 6 through July 5. The National Council plans to announce the results of the tender no later than September 3.
