A HOSPITAL radio station has unveiled its refurbished studio after a month of work in the year the station celebrates its 40th anniversary.
Radio Northwick Park, which has been run by volunteers since 1971, invited hospital chairman Tony Caplin to officially open the £25,000 new studio on Sunday afternoon.
Mr Blank said: "We're doing all we can as a charity to makes the lives better for those in hospital, to make sure their stay is as comfortable as it can be and be a friend to those in need.
"Without needed upgrades to our facilities, we wouldn't be able to provide the level of entertainment that we do and we wouldn't be able to future proof ourselves so that we can be here for a long time to come. Being able to open our brand new studio in our 40th year is something quite special."
The studio was last renovated in 1988 and the building work cost the station around £25,000, which was raised through fundraising events, grants and donations.
