Free radio training courses

9:10am Wednesday 8th July 2009 By Will Roberts » A COMMUNITY radio station is offering free training sessions on sound recording and broadcast skills. The sessions start at Radio Teesdale in Barnard Castle later this month. Station Manager Peter Dixon said the course was designed for beginners and everyone was welcome to take part. "Training is a big part of any community radio station and at Radio Teesdale is no exception. "We are planning a three week training course on the Introduction of Studio and Sound Recording, using the studio desk and editing. "It's designed for beginners. We're also hoping to attract some new members but there is no cost or commitment to continue to make programmes. "It will give folks a chance to learn the things that will enable them to put together a programme." The course starts on Wednesday (July 15) and runs from 6pm to 8pm.
