Theme and Objective :

 

The Balkan Express  consisting of 9 carriages will set out from the Ankara Main Train Station on June 29, 2010.

The first live broadcast of the Balkan Express programme will take place at Sirkeci Train Station in İstanbul on July 1, 2010. After the live broadcast in Edirne on July 2, the train will move on to Bulgariathe same day.  It will follow the route spanning Romania, Serbia, Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina,Kosovo, Macedonia and Greece, in that order, and return to Istanbul's Sirkeci Train Station on August 20, 2010 for its last live broadcast.

Further developing relations of friendship and fraternity among the regional countries and promoting the historical, cultural and touristic assets of the countries the train will go through are aimed at by the live television broadcasts to be carried out in the course of this train journey.
