With the auspicious occasion of Ramadan upon us, media outlets up and down the country are gearing up to plan specials to lure in audiences.

Leeds based Radio Ramzan has set up its 17th year of special broadcasting, which commences on Wednesday 11th August and lasts up to 28 days.

According to the Radio Ramzan, this year it plans to create a different identity for the station by putting listeners in the interactive seat.

"Yes, when we say giving you the control, we mean giving you the control, the management have decided to give the local community the opportunity to provide their views on what they want to hear on this year's broadcast. Not only that but they are also looking for new presenters in many languages.

So do you think you have what it takes to be the next most known voice in the Muslim community of Leeds? If the answer is yes then this is a great opportunity for you, full training in radio broadcasting will be given by renowned radio presenters."

As this year the station will be broadcasting through the summer holidays, there will be extra special programmes for children, plus Radio Ramzan Leeds is also giving the chance to younger listeners to present shows.

Radio Ramzan will be available on 87.7FM in Leeds and will also broadcast live worldwide via www.ramzanfm.co.uk.
