BBG to Meet November 19 The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) will meet on Friday, November 19. The public meeting is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. The BBG will hear research presentations by InterMedia and Gallup, a report from the Board's Governance Committee and a status report from the International Broadcasting BureauCoordinating Committee. In addition, the Board will discuss the security of BBG journalists and consider a resolution regarding the Agency's Ethics Program. The meeting is open to the public - but due to space limitations via webcast only - and will be streamed both live and on-demand at www.bbg.gov. The Broadcasting Board of Governors is an independent federal agency, supervising all U.S. government-supported, civilian international broadcasting, whose mission is to promote freedom and democracy and to enhance understanding through multi-media communication of accurate, objective, and balanced news, information, and other programming about America and the world to audiences overseas.
