DOHA: Qatar Foundation will launch an enhanced QF Radio with a new frequency in an event at the Villaggio Mall today.

The radio station promises an exciting line-up of new programmes all linked to unlocking human potential in line with Qatar Vision 2030. The station's bold new vision encourages listeners everywhere to "Find Your Frequency" on QF Radio.

QF Radio, running temporary programmes on a limited frequency since its inception in 2010, has spent the past year researching audience needs and preparing a fresh range of programmes aimed at various young people around the GCC to help them unlock their potential.

The radio station will be broadcasted globally over the Internet and will cover Qatar on the frequency 93.7 FM from its studios at Education City.

QF Radio provides a 'live media' opportunity for Qatar Foundation students at Education City to develop broadcasting and media literacy skills through a range of student-made programmes such as "Campus Buzz," "Taking You Further," and special daily student news bulletins.

Uniquely placed to gain access to some of the world's foremost thinkers, scientists, innovators, professors, leaders, artists and other influencers of change who are currently working with QF, QF Radio's goal is to inform the region and international audiences about Qatar Foundation's role and to document the people, stories and progress of QF as they work toward achieving Qatar's National Vision 2030.

"We worked for a long time to study the needs of our listeners and their preferences and to create programmes of high calibre that reflect QF's vision of unlocking human potential," said Saad Saleh Al Kuwari, QF Radio Head. "I invite all members of the community not only to listen to QF Radio but to participate in it with their own voices."
