Ian McFarland, formerly of Radio Canada International, writes: "I just wanted to let you know that the CD project that has been going on for the last 4-5 years via the DXer.ca website, has now headed off in a new direction. An MP3 direction!

"Colin Newell, who runs the website, has converted the material on the 3 sets of CDs that we've produced into MP3 files, and these files can now be downloaded for a nominal charge. We're now working on producing MP3 files for the SW antenna course that was featured on the RCSWC and SWL Digest programmes many years ago [This is now available online].

"Eventually, we'll be creating MP3 files of a number of other much-loved features from the McFarland radio archives and these will also be downloadable. As with the CD series, the beneficiary will be my local food bank. The CD sales have generated around $2050 for the food bank and soup kitchen in Duncan, British Columbia.

"All the details on this are on the website (http://www.dxer.ca/cd-store), which is equipped with "Buy Now" buttons to make things simple."

There is some excellent material here and Ian is not asking a lot for it - and it's for a good cause. You can pay by PayPal or credit card, so visit the  website (http://www.dxer.ca/cd-store) for full details of what's available.
