Angola: Africa with wide audience of radio broadcasting on shortwave bands .

Luanda – The African continent has the widest audience of the world in the international radio broadcasting on shortwave bands.

This was said to Angop on Thursday in Luanda by the head of assistance service staff of the President of the Republic, Aldemiro Vaz da Conceição, during 2nd Congress of Radio Broadcasting in Angola, organised by the Angolan Private Independent University (UNIA).

He said that the lack of financial resources, frequent breakdowns, power cuts, scarcity of spare parts and other situations that affect the continent weaken the good performance of these sectors.

According to him, in Sub-Saharan Africa, radio broadcasting depends a lot on shortwave bands so as to achieve greater number of population, thus constituting a broadcasting feature in the continent
