A new radio program, Catholic Utah Now, debuted this week on Immaculate Heart Radio, which is on AM 1010.

The first program aired Tuesday and will be repeated Saturday at 3 p.m.

On the first program, the Rev. John C. Wester, bishop of Salt Lake City's diocese, discussed the Easter season with the Rev. Peter Rogers, pastor of St. Catherine of Sienna Newman Center; Timothy Johnston, director of liturgy for the diocese; and Maxine Kaiser, former director of liturgy.

Future programs to be aired Tuesdays at 10 a.m. and repeated Wednesdays at 9 p.m. and Saturdays at 3 p.m. will include discussions on the sacrament of confirmation, vocations to the priesthood, what it means to be an inter-cultural diocese, immigration reform, stewardship, Catholic Community Services and other topics, according to Colleen Gudreau, diocesan spokeswoman.
