Turkey's TRT wins Asiavision award

Turkey's national broadcaster, TRT, has won the Asiavision Monthly Award for February for its coverage of the uprising in Libya.

It's the first time TRT has won an Asiavision Monthly Award. The awards recognise the best news story of the month contributed to the ABU's daily news exchange.

TRT shared with Asiavision members its visuals of developments inside Libya as well as the evacuation of foreign nationals out of the North African nation.

Its visuals included the opposition taking control of the city of Benghazi and rallies in Tripoli by Libyan government supporters.
